Creating Item Groups and Customer Groups

Creating Item Groups and Customer Groups

Concept

Price groups are an optional way to set up pricing information. They reduce the maintenance for pricing in the system.

Item Price Groups

You set up item price groups to define base price information for a group of items rather than for many individual items.

An item can belong to only one item price group in the item master or item branch record. The item group is stored in user-defined code (UDC) table 40/PI.

A simple item price group is a group of items that is assigned to the same group in the Item Master (F4101) or Item Branch File (F4102) tables.

Customer Price Groups

You set up customer price groups to apply base price schemes to specific groups of customers.

A customer can belong to only one customer price group in the customer billing instructions. The customer group is stored in UDC 40/PC.

A simple customer price group is a group of customers who are assigned to the same group in the Customer Master by Line of Business table (F03012).
