Changing and Deleting Records

Concept

You can change a record that you have previously entered by locating an existing record and making the desired changes. You can also delete a record from the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne system.

Procedure

In this task, you will change and delete records.

Step Action
Navigate to the Address Book Revisions program (P01012).

Click the Fast Path button.

Use the Work with Addresses form to change and delete records.

Step Action
To make changes to a record, you must first locate it. Use the Address Number field to search for an existing record.

Click in the Address Number field.

Enter the desired information into the Address Number field. Enter “75985“.
Click the Find button.

The system displays the record in the grid.

Click the 75985 option.

Click the Select button.

Use the Address Book Revision form to modify the 75985 record.

First, you will modify the mailing address in the record.

Step Action
Click the Mailing tab.

Click in the Address Line 1 field.

Enter the desired information into the Address Line 1 field. Enter “1650 Filbert St“.
Click the OK button.

Click the Cancel button.

Click the Display Address option.

The system displays the modified record.

Next, you will review how to delete a record from the system.

Step Action
Next, we will delete a record.

Click in the Address Number field.

Enter the desired information into the Address Number field. Enter “1976“.
Click the Find button.

Click the 1976 option.

Click the Delete button.

Step Action
The system displays a dialog box asking you to confirm that you want to delete the record.

Click the OK button.

Step Action
Now you will search for the deleted record.

Click the Find button.

The system displays the message “No records found.”
Click the Close button.

You have successfully changed and deleted records.
