Accessing Send Email and Meeting Invite options from the Hover forms

Concept

Hover forms contain context-based information. The hover form is displayed when you click the hover indicator in the hover-supported JD Edwards EnterpriseOne control.

 

Note: The Collaborate tab in the hover form is enabled by default for the Address Number (AN8) type hover forms. You can disable this tab using Work with Feature Definitions (P958973) application.

 

Procedure

In this topic, you will access the Send Email and Meeting Invite options from hover forms.

Step Action
Navigate to the Customer Service Inquiry program (P4210).

Click the Fast Path button.

Use the Customer Service Inquiry form to access the Collaborate tab in a hover form and to send emails and meeting invites.

Step Action
Click in the Sold To field.

Enter the desired information into the Sold To field. Enter “4242“.
To view the hover form, hover over the orange dot in the Sold To field and then click the clickable indicator.

Step Action
Click the Collaborate tab.

The Collaborate tab displays a list of email IDs associated with the Address Book number 4242.

The list of email IDs that appears in the Collaborate tab is configured for a particular address number in the Who’s Who application. If an email ID is not configured for a particular address number, the Collaborate tab is empty and the Send Email and Send Meeting invite buttons are disabled.

You can have a maximum of five email addresses in the Collaborate tab.

Step Action
Note that the Send Email and Send Meeting Invite buttons are disabled.

Click the First Email ID option.

When you select an email from the list, the Send Email and Send Meeting Invite buttons are now enabled.

Click the Send Email button.

The Message window of the default email client is displayed with the selected recipient email ID.

The subject of the email contains the title of the form.

The body of the email is empty in the case of the Customer Information and Supplier Information hover forms.

Enter the desired information into the Email Text field. Enter “Demo Message“.
Click the Send button.

Now, you will see how to send a meeting invite from the Collaborate tab.

To view the hover form again, hover over the orange dot in the Sold To field and then click the clickable indicator.

Click the Collaborate tab.

Step Action
Click the First Email ID option.

Click the Send Meeting Invite button.

Click the OK button.

Step Action
The Appointment window of the default email client is displayed with the selected recipient email ID.

The subject of the Meeting Invite contains the title of the form.

The body of the Meeting Invite is empty in the case of Customer and Supplier hover forms.

Schedule a meeting time and add the meeting recipients as required.

Click the Send Update button.

Step Action
Next, you will see how to send emails using an address book hover form.

Navigate to the Address Book Revisions program (P01012).

Click the Fast Path button.

Step Action
Click in the Address Number field.

Enter the desired information into the Address Number field. Enter “4242“.
Click the Find button.

To view the hover form, hover over the orange dot in the Address Number field and then click the clickable indicator.

Click the Orange tooltip.

Click the Collaborate tab.

Click the First Email ID option.

Click the Send Email button.

The Message window of the default email client is displayed.

The subject of the email contains the title of the form.

In the Employee Information and Address Book Information hover forms, the body of the email contains the title of the form and the parameterized URL of the form.

Next, review how to send the meeting invites using an address book hover form.

To view the hover form, hover over the orange dot in the Address Number field and then click the clickable indicator.

Click in the Address Number field.

Click the Collaborate tab.

Select the first email ID.

Click the First Email ID option.

Click the Send Meeting Invite button.

Next, let us look at Send Meeting Invite option in an address book information hover form.

Click the OK button.

The Meeting window of the default email client is displayed with the selected recipient email ID.

The subject of the Meeting Invite contains the title of the form.

The body of the meeting invite contains the title of the form and the parameterized URL of the form in the case of Employee Information and Address Book Information hover forms.

You can view the form or application by clicking the parameterized URL, and then entering your user ID and password.

Click the Scheduling button.

You can schedule a meeting time, add new recipients as required, and send the invite.

Click the Send button.

Click the Close button.

You have successfully accessed the Send Email and Meeting Invite options from hover forms.
